Determinators is the moniker of Lexander, Amsterdam-NL based -tech producer. Lexander was born in 1978 and grew up in Maracay/Venezuela, at the age of 12 moved to Florida/USA where he lived for a year and started to get involved into metal music, at the age of 21 moved to Amsterdam/The Netherlands. Between the ages of five and twelve, he studied music at the conservatorium at Maracay/Venezuela. At the age of fourteen started studying the electric guitar and got involved in the venezuelan metal scene where at the age of 17 together with other musicians founded of one of the biggest venezuelan underground metal acts Mystical Darkness (1996-1999), at the age of 19 Lexander gained interest in electronic music when listening for the first time to The Prodigy. European electronic scene was defineately a great influence for Lexander when composing/arranging music for the bands Drionide and Mind Shelter as an extra color to the metal sound of this bands. Lexander has been involved with major techno/schranz djs Pet Duo and Robert Natus who have remixed one of Lexander’s tracks (the Airplane Phenomenon) for his band Mind Shelter.
Under the name Determinators, Lexander has his own view of techno/electro, as a producer he shapes in his compositions layers between techno, electro, darkwave working his sets with determination and passion to the music and always experimenting and adding a ceirtain spark to the experience that listening to electronic music make it worthwhile.
